This is the hidden gem 💎 so close to bear mountain state park. It provides breathtaking view of Hudson river and lighthouse is very well maintained and grounds of stony point battleground is well taken care of during entire year. Lighthouse gives awesome photo opportunities and entry to battleground is free.

Relaxing little easy walk. There's a grass area in front if it perfect for a picnic.

This has been a park for 120 years with tourists originally coming off steam ships. The views of the Hudson and mountains are spectacular and well worth the trip! Grounds close 4pm. Grounds only open Monday-Friday until 4. Saturday and Sunday grounds closed. Don't try to park outside the locked gate on a closed day because you will get towed. I guess if you want to go on a weekend you should park up the hill in the town and walk down.

A very nice spot to watch the river. It had a beautiful view and the breeze was amazing as can be. The only thing I wish it had was more places to sit. I could have spent hours there. The night house itself was cool. Cold and still looking good.
