Last time I went they screwed me at 30 cents a lb for my copper. I don't know if it was the employee or what, but before I could even say I did not want to accept the price he was giving me, he threw my stuff in a container with other recyclables. I suggest going to universal on el dorado. They give me 1.30 lb for my copper.

We do accept washers and dryers (as well an any other appliances) but only to recycle. We do not currently pay for appliances.

You can recycle Copper at go green and they're on sanguinetti and Robindale or you can go to Universal recycling which is by the port of Stockton. And both require a photo ID 3-day waiting period unless you are a licensed contractor

Our scales are checked for accuracy every morning. Calibration occurs as needed and in accordance with county and state requirements for weighing devices. If there is any concern in this regard, please speak with the supervisor onsite at the time of your material being weighed and we will double check the equipment on the spot.

We always prefer to give a customer back their material if they are unsatisfied with the price or total amount that they are to receive. Non-ferrous classification of material is determined by our scale masters so we always encourage them to explain why and how our pricing is determined. From what you're describing, it appears you brought in a lower quality insulated copper wire and were paid what our current market value is for that commodity.

They just check to make sure it's all cans, I've never seen them examine the cleanliness of the recycling.
