My family has lived and worked in Pine and Eagle Valleys for six generations. We chose this restaurant for a family meal after my grandmother’s celebration of life, and made a reservation with more than three weeks notice. A week later, the owner arbitrarily canceled our reservation citing the fair, clearly prioritizing perceived profit over honoring a commitment to a multi-generational family that has been part of the community for more than 100 years. This used to be the Stockmen’s, a far superior establishment run by people who actually valued community. When we asked the Main Place owner to reconsider they hung up on my parents. This behavior is truly appalling.

I really cannot give any stars, so I will give the one star as it is the lowest you can give. We made reservations earlier this week to have a celebration of life for my mother. The person taking our information for lunch and said it was prime rib day and let them know the total count for anyone wanting prime rib. When we called back to give the count, the person said prime rib wasn’t served at lunchtime. We said OK no worries we can order off the lunch menu for our party of 22. The phone rang five minutes later and the owner told us they could not honor our reservation because it was fair weekend. We explained it was a celebration of life for my mother we will be left in the lurch. The owner then said it’s first come first serve and hung up on us. I have never left a review on Google in my life but this needed to be shared.
