I don’t think i’ll be back to this location again :( Waited in line for like 15-20mins (i’m the only one that’s in line at this time) there’s 4 (crew) + the lady owner i think, we didn’t mind waiting at first but then there’s a sound from their to go ipad and the lady owner started looking at that for like more than 5mins instead of just taking my order first. (At that point i was already standing there 10mins+ before the online order came in) After that she went on the side for something before taking my order. She took my order and i asked if there’s boba on the ube milk tea or do i have to add it Coz on the menu it says taro balls. She went on and on about taiwan happy lemon wanted them to serve taro balls but nobody like taro balls so they change to boba (they should edit their menu) and they said they never have taro balls, so i said it’s okay, i’ll still get it. Then showed my happy lemon card and she said her machine is new and the reward card system doesn’t work. So again i said “it’s okay’ no worries” She asked if i want a bag, i said no, but i do want a straw, they have a printed sign that says “STRAWS ARE ON REQUEST” so i did told her that… After paying, she told me to wait that she’ll give me the receipt, so i said sure, she started looking at the drinks on the side that her crew made, and started giving the orders to doordash while i stood there waiting for the receipt that was printed the moment she told me to wait. Fast forward to my drinks getting made and she’s calling my number, i got up and showed her the number and i asked her if i can take my receipt back, she said she have to cross it out, After that i asked fro the straws(how can u drink boba without it) She started lecturing (in a smiling but annoying way) that i should buy a straw online, i told her I didn’t order online, i ordered to her in person and i told her i wanted a straw, she then went on and on about the county wanted them to use paper straw (which is okay to me, coz hawaii is all paper straws) but for now she’s gonna give me a plastic straw, i said sure, but she kept talking and telling me “ you don’t want paper straw in your belly” so next time buy straw online.. i didn’t wanna just walk out and be disrespectful while she kept talking, and i see she have a line, so i kept saying okay and nod, but she just doesn’t stop about this straws, i had it and told her “I’ve been waiting for 30mins i just want my drinks and straws, I don’t need any lectures, thank you!” Coz people in line are looking at us already and I don’t want them to think im holding the line coz the lady owner just wouldn’t stop telling me that paper straw melts and might go in your belly ( i think im old enough to know how not to eat a paper straw) but that was it! Never again. Everytime we come here we have to wait eventhough it’s not busy, to support small businesses specially the one in tanforan, but to tell us to buy straw online, and what paper straw will do to my belly, and about taiwan and taro balls, that’s it. We’ll just go to serramonte one.
