Me and Ice Cream Chef. A Love Story. Without further delay let’s begin this review. Ice Cream Chef is a small ice cream shop located in a huge entertainment shopping plaza on Lakes Drive in West Covina. It’s indoor design and layout was cute and spacious; atmosphere was relaxing. They have outdoor seats with a good view of the plaza. I was greeted by a very young male staff and he took my order. I ordered a Nutella Ice cream. And it’s texture was thick and flavor was close to perfection. I like the whip cream, slice of strawberry and banana as toppings. A perfect slice of heaven on a warm sunny Saturday. Their prices were fair. Overall, I had a good experience and ice cream. I recommend this little shop and I say this wholeheartedly I shall return.

I put one star because i had to in order to write review. After a late dodger game my family decided to treat our selfs to some icecream so we searched for an icecream place on our way home. We got to this place, it said it closed at 12 am so we had time. As soon as we walked in we weren't greeted but asked how many icecreams we would be ordering. When we said 4, the guy said "oh, I can only serve 2 because we're closing soon". It was 11pm still an hr to closing time. I told my husband "I guess we'll just buy icecream for kids only". Then we were told cash only, we suggested using their self order screen and pay there. The guy said "you can try but it isn't really working". At that point I gave up and said nevermind and walked out. Now I was a bit confused because a couple came in after and was waiting in line behind us and they were never told anything about how many icecreams they could have or if there was any . In my head I was thinking if this guy is telling me he only can serve me 2 icecreams then he won't have enough for these people. So did he not have anymore icecream or was he limiting me on how many we can order. In the end i can't rate the icecream because I never tasted it but the service was not good. It was late I was tired and I wanted icecream. in the end I guess it was for the better because we found a better spot and we were all able to enjoy the icecream.

The service is excellent very athletic and delicious. I truly enjoy going here! Monday-Friday they have a happy hour special. I am not sure about the time frame. It's so worth the price, I have gotten the mangonata, smores, rocky road, fresas con cream, my kids favorite are the birthday cake. They have tables set up out side it's nice and clean. Your order is rolled fresh. Would recommend over and over again. So delicious can't with to go again. Today was s'more day!
