I don't blame the nursing staff, I do blame the decision maker because they do not allow the staff to do their job because they fear they will be sued. I was not allowed to do anything but ride around in my wheelchair, I couldn't use my walker unless I was in therapy and my sessions were few a far between. The bottom line is that it's a cash grab, and they are to do the minimum to keep the money flowing.

Being a union facility, it is hard to get rid or bad staff and hard to get anyone to do anything to enhance or improve on care. They just yell across the halls at eachother and tell residents to just sit in front of the nursing home without providing any quality of life. It was sad to see. You can't just put a lock on a door and call it a dementia care unit if you do not provide the proper therapists and education to staff. This is the opposite of any dignified situation for your loved ones.

Thwait time to get changed also to get aide to help you is between one hour and two hour and the reason is we only have one aide on the floor now who’s fault is that. I think you might call it poor planning. Today for instance it is a Saturday and with no exaggeration i am still in my johnny and is one pm i. Called the head hurse and she said they have 11patienct she will get to me as soon as possible. I just got my lunch and still in my johnny the food mostly something you want to give you dog. At times it’s edible but not much. Good luck sending you loved ones to this facility

I cannot say enough great things about this facility. We have had an elderly uncle who is a vet in and out of so many places that didn't care about the human aspect of care until he was placed here. The staff has been responsive to anything we ask and it is a relief to know that he is well taken care of for once
