Worst hospital I have ever been too. Waited 6 hours with my 14 month old, just to be told I would have to wait at least another hour for him to be seen. My poor baby was terrified of the nurse. She was very rude and did not care at all or show any compassion for my child. She acted like I was bothering her ny asking how much longer it would be. I decided to take my baby home and hopefully get him some care in the morning. It's a sad day when the very well funded children's hospital doesn't care about the children.

My Granddaughter was born June 8 2022 and a nurse drop my granddaughter that day she supposed to came home on June 10 2022. But the nurse drop and never reported it the whole staff did not say a word my granddaughter had to stay ICU for some days and my daughter because she don’t trust children Hospital how they try to cover it up took test before the let the parents know that they drop her daughter and never reported it. I believe that they was to send the baby home with the parents and If that was my daughter dropping her baby They would call child protection. They never call and ask her how her and the baby doing. If she was a white woman it would been different that my opinion and they was nasty to my daughter after they drop her baby

Lack , shortage of doctors and management . I have been stuck 12 hours on 9/4/22 with my son 4 years old and no doctor showed up .If there was another children hospital I would never ever visit this one .Big and clean hospital but in this day only receptionist receiving patients and send them to sleep in rooms without any treatment. They offer hotel service in this day.

My name is Elaine. I was in labor and delivery at this hospital in January. Mid ferbruary I was having labor pains here in my jamestown ny residence. Come to find out they had left my entire Placenta inside of me during my csection procedure. I had a dnc dnc done in feb at the e.r where i was admitted for 4 days and also had a blood transfusion due to blood loss. During my csection a newbie was being instructed. That shouldnt be allowed when its an emergency like mine was a high risk pregnancy, my son was premature, and it was an emergency csection. Def shouldnt have new docs at an emergency csection where there is a premature baby involved. Im disgusted with thia hospital. Im terrified of hospitals now smh.

I don't know but I know URMC (in Rochester) has a great program and is open to a very diverse clientele / unique clients. Moreso than anywhere in Buffalo.
Children unless adult is pregnant and plan to deliver there. Buffalo general is right next to children’s for adult emergencies.
Parking lot at the hospital is from a third party vendor and hospital has no control over it. Parking tickets used to be validated but not anymore.

You will have to switch or change people in the room. It is 1 person with the patient! Unless they let two in but only if they say.

Baby delivery there is an absolute pleasure. They allowed 3 people for us. But really only 1 stayed with my wife throughout. The amazing part is each family has their own room, bathroom, . So as long as theres not a whole bunch of people in the room at the time of delivery , you pretty much good to have a group of people in there any other time. They dont bother you .

Valet is $7. On street parking is available (if you can find a spot) for regular rates until 5pm, then it's free until the next morning 8am. There is no emergency room parking. Hope this helps.
