I always have great experiences with Dr Petinge and his team. They are considerate, thorough and very good at what they do! I also had no concerns during this time of COVID-19 with protection and/or safety precautions.

Office is always on time, immaculate, professional and friendly! My family moved to the South Shore of Boston and the four of us still make the hour commute back to Saugus to see Dr P.

Questions & Answers

Am I suitable for dental implants?

Almost anyone with or several missing teeth or all teeth is a candidate for dental implants. However, there are a few exceptions. You should be in good overall health and have a healthy mouth with no untreated tooth decay or gum (periodontal) disease. Also, before the procedure, any existing dental issues should be addressed. Your dentist will want to ensure that your oral hygiene is good since you will need to keep your teeth clean and plaque-free. People under 18 should wait for implants because their bone tissue is not fully developed, and their jaw is still growing.

How often do I need to visit the dentist?

Many people need to see their dentists at least two times per year or once every six months. However, there are some exceptions to this rule. Your dentist might suggest more frequent appointments if they have diagnosed you with gum disease. Orthodontics would be another reason why you might want to visit the dentist more often than usual. In general, you need to visit the dentist every six months for cleanings and checkups. You may want to go more often than once per year, depending upon whether they recommend that you get them done more frequently.
