1) Everybody is very nice from the front desk to the MRI room. 2) The waiting time is very reasonable. 3) It's the first time and first place where I feel the staff really understands my anxiety and my claustrophobia. Anything in their body language or the way they talked to me showed impatience or annoyance, like other places. 3) The least but the most important fact to me, you let my husband be next to me, what other places strictly denied me, despite my plea of the tremendous help his presence will provide me to relieve my anxiety. I used to feel that no one in the radiologic field will never help me find out why I am in pain in my leg for so long. But Shields MRI is the place to be for people like me. I won't waste my time and got my feelings hurt anymore. I will always come to you, now, guys for my MRIs. Thank you for your empathy and compassion!

I was sent to Shields after my first MRI experience leading me into a panic attack. They were so friendly and the facility was very clean. They even allowed me to have my boyfriend beside me the whole time during my scan due to nerves. They talked me through the entire scan and made me feel safe and comfortable. If you need an MRI and have claustrophobia I couldn’t recommend them more.

Had no issues getting my MRI and staff was great. However, they promised my results would get sent to my doctor 24-48 hours after the MRI. 4 days later I called them and they were sitting on the results. No “sorry” or explanation. I guess no big deal to then… they’ll get paid.

Multi-parametric prostate MRI (mpMRI) greatly improves the accuracy of the diagnosis and management of prostate cancer. Compared with alternative tests that can be intrusive and painful, mpMRI is a standard MRI that requires no endorectal coil. No, nothing metal or electronic should be brought in the mri room. They have music there and will give you a headset. They'll play any music you would like.
