Listen, this place is a COMPLETE JOKE! There is so much to be said but there's not enough room in this review field. The nursing staff is awful, they can't give meds on time to these poor patients if their lives depended on it. None of the staff has any compassion for the patients. Some of the CNA's have horrible attitudes. This facility is understaffed. We leave messages for the Director of Nursing, but never receive a call back. The therapy department isn't what we thought it was going to be, they come when they want to come, and the visit is very short when they do come. The doctor they supposedly has doesn't communicate with the family when it comes to the care of their loved one. Heck, we've never even seen a doctor at all. The facility itself is beautiful and decent, but if you're looking for a place for your loved one, do not be deceived, look elsewhere!

Its a horrible horrible horrible place to work for. the scheduler, the d.o.n and the administer are liars and will try to throw you under the bus and try to get your licence suspended. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT GO THERE TO WORK. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED>the first group of d.o.n and administrator were ALL fired. they cannot keep anyone. even agency nurses refused to go and work for these people. A RN who was assigned there thru an agency told me that the State was threatening to shut them down so DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES THERE>I REPEAT >>>>DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES THERE.

My sister was in Summerstone for 3 months for wound care. She met some very nice people, but unfortunately also encountered some who were not nice and very insensitive to her pain. The outstanding persons were Katie Cruz, the social worker who went above and beyond to get everything in place for my sister, even after she returned home. Katie is an amazing credit to her profession. Angel, the wound care nurse, was also incredibly kind and helpful to my sister and both of these professionals advocated on my sister's behalf. Lorraine, the director of Nursing was also very helpful, and several others...Tebo a male nurse, and Chris, a CNA who were kind to her. It's a lovely facility with many nice places to sit if you are able. My sister was there during an incredible shortage of staff affecting the entire industry, and during 3 COVID lockdowns.
