Gorgeous place to enjoy from all aspects. This place fulfilled all my family and my sentiments for our country in East Europe. Is nice to see the brother's , going in old traditional church, listening the bell. The view is same like we have in Transylvania or Moldavia where our Abbey's are located on the high hills. Jams are same like our grandmother did, full of flavors, is just melting on your mouth. All religious gifts are high quality, very nice and just you can't leave the store with out buying something. Highly recommended for everyone who like to talk in peace with God, who wants to retreat from daily stress and meditate, for all who wants to eat old fashion jams full of flavors and for once who are fare away from their country . Thank you so much for giving us so many things today in our short visit to your place . We will be back next week.

Being at Saint Joseph’s Abbey is a truly great experience in centering prayer and in touching the hands of God. My stays at Saint Joseph’s Abbey lstarted over 40 years ago and it is the one place I think of when I think of prayer in a very holy environment.

Very quiet and peaceful place.

Interesting place to visit. I visited the brewery several years back. It was amazing the things they do on this monastery. It is scenic and peaceful any time of the year. There is a gift shop anyone can stop by to visit.

They usually close pretty early and go to bed at 8:30 at night so I'm thinking that 7 p.m. would be when they would close but call.https://goo.gl/search/Saint+Joseph's+Abbey+167+N+Spencer+Rd 📍 Saint Joseph's Abbey 167 N Spencer Rd (508) 885-8700 Jacqueline I haven't been there for a while but I think they do make fruit cakes but one thing I do know they make beer and jam preserves now
About half an hour
Yes they have it at the gift shop.
I am not sure. I would go on their website or call to see if you can do that. If you meant concessions then yes they do have that. But if you really meant confession I have never heard of that being done there before. Call ahead.
The Monks do take prayer requests. You can call the main phone number, that's what I have done in the past.

Mass is at 6:40am on Sunday and the public is welcome to come and participate in the mass from two side chapels adjacent to the altar closest to the parking area). It's open air but separate from the cloistered area. The mass is very beautiful.
Shop hours vary by day, phone call is best
