When our ventless fireplace unit died, everyone we asked recommended Dreifuss in Philly. Now we know why.They've been in business more than a century! Kevin and Lloyd provided honest, informed advice on our replacement options and cost, with no upselling. Freddie and Jose were pros at installing the replacement unit and explaining its operation. They were a pleasure to work with and went above and beyond. They moved our shutoff valve from a corner to a more convenient location.

Came in 5/9 with in-laws, who traveled over an hour and were excited to help with fireplace insert. Long story short - your “40 year vet salesman” was a jackass, had zero tact or self awareness. I’ve met people like him, just never in sales. Talked over every word and had terrible assumptions. He questioned why we were there: “so easy a 12 year old could do it!” He proclaimed just before snatching the promotional pamphlet out of my hand “these things are a commodity around here!” I work in construction - and I’d accept this level of ignorance from some guys workshop I just walked into, but you guys have a showroom open to the public. Btw, Lloyd seemed pleasant (but quiet). My advice to you, don’t acquiesce to his behavior. All negative reviews seem to point to this guy. Maybe keep a few snickers bars around for him. // Im not surprised that I wasn’t remembered (despite my introduction). I’m confident your dog remembers me because I have a cavalier at home.

I called to schedule a servicing of my gas fireplace (which I had bought from them years ago), and when I explained the problem I was having, Ian patiently explained to me the possible causes, how to check for them, and how to fix the ones that could be easily fixed. It would have been much easier for him to send someone out and charge me $250, but he didn't. It turns out that I was able to do what was needed myself, and I didn't need a service call. Couldn't be happier which how this company operates.

Had a terrific experience with Dreifuss. From sales with David to scheduling with Lloyd and then a fabulous installation with Freddie - the process was smooth and easy. With supply issues across so many industries, we were thrilled that we received our gas fireplace insert so quickly and an even faster turnaround to install. We adhere to all CDC recommended guidelines and Philadelphia rules plus our own additional safeguards. Fortunately we have a 5,000 square foot showroom, with limited traffic. So we can safely handle several customers visiting at the same time. In addition, our showroom is routinely cleaned an sanitized by an outside provider. All of our employees wear face masks at all times while in the showroom or populated office. It is also expected that any customers or visitors will wear a face mask while on property.
