A wonderful place to spend with family. This place has a fun park for children, it has gazebos to spend a picnic day, it also has a center to reserve and carry out an activity up to weddings. You can enjoy the sun, bathe with very clean water. Pets are not allowed, you have access to a small library so you can access to bike, fun games using the library card. Honestly you will not regret it, the hours will go by quickly in the blink of an eye of how much fun you will have.

Nice local public park & Lake Erie Sand Beach in Lorain Ohio. Very clean & well kept. Also have a nice rose garden which was in bloom when we were there. The park also allows dogs on a leash.

I come here sometimes to enjoy the lake. It's a clean place. I love to take pictures of the lake and the sun shining down. It's calming. Fun for my son. Plenty of space to not have the place crowded.

Great views. Very accessible in Lorain County. Pretty clean beach, lots of fun shells and fossils to discover. Very kid-friendly.

This is one of many Lakefront beaches where you should obey posted signs because of occasional dangerous riptides.
Yes. But the beach part of the park does not the grills are by the baseball fields
Yes playground equipment on the beach and life guards on duty a good portion of the day.
Yes there are private restrooms underneath the beach house and then there are regular restrooms with limited privacy in the Park South and the Park North
That's a good question. But I don't think it really closes until it's too cold to swim.
Sunset Café is located in the bathhouse right on the beautiful shores of Lake Erie and is open for lunch during the summer. Serving soups, salads, sandwiches, and burgers. The Café is open 11 a.m.-2 p.m., Monday-Friday from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The Café also offers a concession menu on the beach from 12-7 p.m., daily.
Give the park a call I checked online I could not find the answer to your question sorry
You can rent the gazebo or a pavilion for $30. http://www.metroparks.cc/shelters.php#lakeview
Yes. Get there early. Actually the best place is at the mile long Pier. Are the Port Authority. South of the draw bridge. Get there early. And bring a folding chair. A blanket will do. But alot of people will be standing. Lakeview is good. But tres's get I'm the way of some of the low ones.
Just snack bar. However there is papsitas Mexican 5 mins to the west and Jackalope to the east on same road. You can see the lake at both places
I do not believe they are. Fishing is allowed only at the west end, there were "no swimming" signs up at the time I was there even though there were people in the water, there are rocks at the east end but they are posted "no climbing on the rocks". The park has nice views of the lake and is a nice place to watch the sunset from. Nice view of Lorain Lighthouse with a backdrop of the lake and boats. Very picturesque, great for taking nice photos.
Will they honor my texas license? Where can I get one if not? Academy or walmart maybe?
Yes but not on the beach itself. Also must be leashed 😉
Just call lorain county metro park to see if available good luck
True the beach is about 150 meters
I've seen people on inflatable devices floating about. But lifeguards are only there during a short window in the summer, ending Aug 15.
You should probably try the city recreation division on Monday or go on the Huron city website.
Way too early this year especially
