I have been eating there for 50 years. I usually get the Pizza Steak Sandwich and a cup of Vegetable soup. Prompt, friendly service. Good food at reasonable prices. I highly recommend the place.

Out of any restaurant, even 5-star chi-chi places, Midway Oh Boy is honestly my favorite! Simple food, reasonable prices. My grandparents even went on dates here in the early 60s and I used to go there as a kid! I always get the Oh Boy special with a coke, doesn't get any better than that! The sauce makes the meal, hands down. Other local burger joints try to steal their recipe but you can easily tell the difference. If you're not too full after the meal, get a vanilla malt, arguably the best! It's also VERY quick; sometimes I'll even time how long it takes from placing the order to food arriving (because it's remarkable) and it's consistently 4-5 mins. Crazy good, all American place!

When having lunch with friends at Oh Boy I mentioned that the original restaurant was across the street. No one seemed to remember that. It was very small and the building is now a residence, it has a mansard type roof. Does my memory serve me correctly?

Yes they do, and it is excellent. I think there are two different kinds of perch dinner. With two different prices. It is worth the visit.
