Update: A supervisor from Viking recently reached out to me regarding my review. Nicole was extremely understanding, apologetic and helpful in resolving my issue. I am glad to see that Viking has great people in management positions. I appreciate her call and I appreciate the lengths she went in resolving my issues. I recently wrote a review and gave this business 5 stars and raved about their technicians and customer service. Well I think that was a little premature. I needed them to follow up on a service that I had done in the beginning of March. I had an appointment setup. They give you a 4 hour window, which to me is ridiculous so I tried to get some kind of ETA from them as I was at work and my boyfriend had to leave to help with elderly mother. One person advised us of an estimated ETA, which I didn't hold them to, I know they can't control that but I asked if to technician could text/call me 30 mins before he arrives so I could get home from work in time and she advised "oh we cannot get ahold of our technicians once they are in the field, we can only email them." This is my first complaint - how could you not be able to get a hold of your technicians in the field?!? So I never got a call/text 30 mins before - it ended up being 15 min before they arrived and I rushed home from work. Halfway home the technician calls me to tell me he is in my driveway and I told him I was on the way, please do not leave. He proceeded to tell me that he had to canceled my service appointment anyway because it was raining!!! I did not know that this type of service could not be done in the rain. No one advised me of this when I booked the appointment or even when I signed up for their monthly service! I rushed home and left work early to be told my service could not be completed! This is unacceptable and highly unprofessional! If my technician knew he had to cancel the appointment - he should've called me or he should've had customer service call me to tell me I had to reschedule. I suggest that you train your technicians and customer service reps a whole lot better. I expect much better service for a company that has been in business for so many years and seems to have such high ratings! I would like a manager or supervisor to contact me about this as I am extremely disappointed in this company and am very close to switching to another company.

Common preparations include: cleaning the area to be treated, removing clutter, picking up pet food, and putting away open food. All children’s toys and personal items should be picked up from the floor and moved outside of the treatment area. We recommend any pets be kept away from treated areas during service. Some treatments may require additional, more specific, preparations. These will be communicated with you in advance of your service.
