Helpful hits: Make sure that when they put your septic in they bring out a professional to pump the goods in so it doesn't mess up your new tank. Make sure that they extend your septic burper; so it's not hard to get to outside. Make sure that you check all appliances (from the hoses, hook-ups, etc.) Make sure that all painting from ceiling to molding is complete. Make sure the back door doesn't leak and seals are good. Make sure they use outdoor paint on your decks. Make sure you don't feel the padding under the carpet. Make sure the light fixtures are centered. Make sure they put all screens on windows. Make sure they don't over order materials and charge you for them; unless you want to keep the extra materials. If that's the case make sure they leave it for you. Again, these are helpful hits that I can give. You can take this review how you want. But when someone is spending their hard earned money to build their home I think it's good to have some helpful hits from someone who has used that company before.

We built our gorgeous home with America's Home Place in Fall of 2020 and moved in by May of 2021. YES right in the middle of the pandemic! But I can honestly say the way AHP handled everything you wouldn't have known what the country was going through. There were delays on materials, inspections and a limited work force with so many getting Covid - still, they marched on to finish it under the schedule they told us. We are transplants to the Greensboro area - so when the time came to make this move permanent I suggested building a home to my husband, a contractor by trade. He said we really needed to look at AHP houses. I found their website and spent several nights looking at so many floor plans and photos of their building process and finished homes; this helped us decide a lot of the features we wanted in our home. The process from going from nothing, to the bank, and then to the AHP office to design our home was so easy. The first meeting with Brad and all my ideas for our home design, he would show us so many different ways to lay out the house so we could take advantage of all the space in the home. He was very knowledgeable in all avenues of design. We toured a few homes under construction that they were building to see what the real bones of the home was like and we were impressed. My husband would point out all the things that AHP does as their standard of building practices that many other companies do not. You could see that they built them as if they were gonna live in them themselves. Care and detail to the end. Krista was so helpful picking out colors and matching flooring with tile and cabinets. Their office was a one stop shop - I had some anxiety walking in; it seemed so overwhelming to have to pick out everything at one time. They have a process in place and no detail was left out. I picked our wall color, flooring types, colors … cabinet types, colors, drawer/door hardware … granite … lighting fixtures … bathroom fixtures - even doors and door knobs. Lindsey was so helpful getting the process started with building permits and with working with our bank to handle the finance draw and paperwork then ended the paperwork process with a binder of our home warranty and settlement details. Everyone in the office was so helpful you could really see they were a family by the way they communicated with each other. Then once the plans were finalized they were preparing the land and starting a foundation. With all endeavors we do in life there will be human errors, but with AHP checks and balances they do a fantastic job making sure everything is near perfect a possible, If we saw anything out of place they would normally already know about it and would have taken steps to correct it. We have been in our home over a year now and they recently came out to do their 1 year follow up. They took care of all our concerns due to the home “settling” during the acclimation time. Now that's customer service if you ask me!!! We love our home and can't wait to spend many wonderful years here as we welcome Grandchildren to our family!! A sincere thank you to all the people at the Americas Home Place Greensboro location for making this happen.

From the initial consultation to the final move in date the AHP team showed they were advocates for us their customer. They were honest, through and thoughtful to assist us in making the best decisions to achieve our goals in the construction of our dream home. Tommy was our project manager and did his very best to navigate all roadblocks and unexpected items successfully and truly looked out for our best interests. If you are looking for a company to help you achieve your home building goals America's Home Place is your go to source. They get the job done and get it done right.
