For nature lovers excellent place to rest. Very quiet. It has a kayak launch and very well maintained area and parking lot.. Shelters for picnic.

It is a beautiful place to go to enjoy the peacefulness of the reserve. It's great for meditating and calming the mind.. Very tranquil. I love it!

If you have a small job boat that is able to go into the preserve does it need to be registered?, it only has a trolling motor

I just went last weekend and launched my kayak. why would it have a boat launch if you couldnt use a jon boat or kayak? signs said nothing about a boat or kayak

What kind of wildlife can I expect to see here? Any snakes, bears, etc. ??

Anything is possible but weather now is cold. So that being said I'm doubting any snakes. I'm sure theres some nice rattlers up water moccasins as well there maybe some black bears if your lucky. We didnt see anything like that but some nice mallard ducks that was about it. If there was anything else I'm sure the kids scared it off before we even came close to it. It is some beautiful land and nice scenery to enjoy.

Does your small jon boat or kayak have to be registered to fish here?
