My job requires me to travel often and staying at a comfortable hotel is important. The Holiday Inn and Suites Covington has been by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. My company gave the hotel several days advance notice that I will be staying in the room after my co- worker checked out. The front office clerk, Chakira had the worst attitude I’ve experienced in any of my hotel stays. She also refused to give me her name after I explained the arrangement my company made for my stay after my coworker checked out. She rudely said “I don’t have to give you my name. She was so unwelcoming, unpleasant, and unwilling to do her job. She claimed she could not find my reservation. I asked to speak a manager who she said she’s not available. My reservation magically appeared and she then expected me to check into a filthy room. She stated the rooms are cleaned every 3-5 days. My coworker checked out after 5 days, so the room should have been cleaned before my arrival. She then claimed they had a lot of checkouts and they couldn’t clean it until the next day. She suddenly got the manager on phone when I took one of the manager’s business card. When I spoke to the General Manager ( Lynette Caldwell ), she also was unhelpful. Ms. Caldwell stated the problem was between the booking company and my job. She also expected me to check into a room that was not cleaned. When I asked again for the room to be cleaned, the request appeared to be extremely bothersome to her. I had to contact my company to get the issue resolved so my room could be cleaned. The General Manager ( Lynette Caldwell )never called or followed up with me after our conversation. As a general manger, she should have made sure her customers are taken care of. I am extremely disappointed with the customer service I received from this hotel. This is the hospitality business and employees should be trained to be courteous and helpful to all customers.

We really enjoyed our stay. Our organization chose this place for a leadership team building weekend. We used the board room for 2 of the days. The breakfast was good and checkin was smooth.

My family has been out of their home due to a flood and have been staying here for almost 2 months. The staff are very friendly and go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and safe. Only issue is you have to request a room cleaning ahead of time and the one time we did request, nobody came. The pool and firepit area is great for gathering!

Very clean and updated rooms. The shower was weak but the design was spacious, I liked the curved glass door. The staff was friendly and they bought a bunch of pizza for three Superbowl. The modern washer and dryer had my clothes clean in an hour and a half. Not bad for $3 I couldn't figure out the fire tables on the patio but I didn't ask anyone either. It was so nice to sit outside on a Saturday night.
