Very disappointed my daughter and her friend and I wanted to do the tour today we went to the office to get tickets to do the 3:30 tour we arrived at 3:15 a lady was in the office made eye contact with us didn’t come out and the doors were locked. On a side note I’m Caucasian my daughter is biracial and her friend is African American wouldn’t bring this up except for the fact as we were leaving a tour was started just saying I am hoping it’s not a racial thing I will not be supporting or going back get it together Lexington Museum

Great collection and very knowledgeable guides - highly recommend for locals and visitors. Tours are incredibly inexpensive and provide so much insight into the history of the town

Questions & Answers

I have approximately 20 womens' hats, still in boxes, that were used by my family members in the 1920's (possibly before) thru 1960's. Would you like to have them to display ?

Deborah Nye | Sep 17, 2018
Cora Nevitt | Sep 17, 2019

Ms. Nye, I wear hats at church. No one would recognize me without a hat so if you still want to donate them to a good home & where they would be appreciated, taken care of & used properly, I would gladly meet you somewhere to pick them up. Just email me back & we can set up a good time.

I have 2 pieces of furniture with no maker marks on them. One is a chair that looks antique and a oriental coffee table with small wheels or rollers. How can I find out more about them?

Do you know anything else about the pieces? It may be tough to find out anything about them without having some kind of idea of where they came from. Give us a call at 803-359-8369 and we may be able to help.

5 for adults 2 for kids. You can go check it out anytime though. Can't get in the buildings but can walk around and see them all
