Community Rental Car

Like all car rental companies, Community Rental Car has a few requirements that must be met in order to qualify for a rental car, truck, van, or SUV. Driver’s License — Renters are required to present a valid, state-issued driver’s license. Refundable Deposit — Deposit amounts vary based on the vehicle and length of the rental period. We authorize, but do not process, the charge unless you do not return the car as specified in your rental contract. Please note that until you return the vehicle, your spending limit on your credit card may be reduced by the amount of the deposit. This may be important if you plan to charge other items to your credit card and are near your credit limit. Don’t have a credit card? Ask about our cash-only options.

A Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is an optional daily charge that guarantees that Community Rental Car will cover the costs for any damage to your rented car. By declining the waiver, you accept responsibility for payment of any damages. A CDW does not cover costs for bodily injuries or damage to your personal property. If you decline CDW coverage or are not covered by your personal auto-insurance policy, you could be liable for the full value of the car if an accident occurs. Also, there are some situations that void CDW coverage, such as if a driver drinks alcohol, damages the car while driving on unpaved roads or out of state, or if a non-authorized driver operates the car.

PAI is an optional coverage that pays a death benefit and a portion of your medical expenses if you are harmed in an accident.

PEC or PEP is optional coverage that safeguards your luggage against damage. If your homeowner’s policy covers your luggage and other belongings while you travel, you may not need this protection.

RE YOUR MINI VAN AND SUV 2020,2021?

Yes. If you pick up your rental with a full tank of gas and return it empty, the cost for refueling the vehicle will be added to your total. However, if you refill the tank before returning it, then a fuel charge will not be added.

Though many rental companies require renters to be at least 25 years of age, Community Rental Car will still allow a younger individual to rent a car. A young-driver charge may be required for younger, less-experienced drivers because they are considered “high-risk” drivers. Please ask our team members for further details.

Yes, I did. But I don't recommend this place. The car I had planned on renting had bald tires even though they said they inspected it. Luckily they refunded my money before I left the lot.

If someone other than the renter will be driving the rented vehicle, an additional driver charge will be assessed. However, at Community Rental Car, we allow your spouse or other immediate family members to drive without additional cost. Failure to sign up an additional driver (that falls outside of our exemptions) can be a violation of your rental agreement and may void your insurance protection.

You can pay your deposit and total cost of rental in cash but you still have to keep a card on file.
