A vet experience where the doctors & techs truly listen and show sincere compassion, not only for your pet but for their owners. I had the pleasure of working with both Dr. Spooner and Dr. Mokos (though I've not been able to meet Dr. Mokos in person yet). Dr. Spooner saw my ill senior cat initially and we came up with a game plan. I appreciated that she provided different estimates for different service game plans to allow the owner to choose from, rather than just THEIR decided plan. It made me feel like I had more of a say in my pet's care. After a few weeks, the meds weren't working unfortunately and Dr. Spooner and I came up with a new game plan. After a few weeks, our poor cat was still in a bad way. This was when Dr. Mokos stepped in for me as we were at the worst part of thinking we'd need to put our cat to rest. Dr. Mokos listened to my concerns and frustrations with 100% empathy and consoled my worried heart. We started what I called our 'hail mary' phase of one more round of a new med. The med seemed to be improving her state and Dr. Mokos, again over the phone and by reviewing Dr. Spooner's notes, advised we could do the initial med Dr. Spooner and I tried since her body was finally responding positively. We're now 4 days without incident and our cat, who had been in a sickened state for months, is finally showing signs of improving. What I found the most fascinating was the absolute level of support and care I, as the owner, was also receiving. Dr. Mokos provided even an alternative to putting her to rest that my husband and I had not even considered. I should also note that although we tried many meds none of them were 'break the bank' expensive, the blood work we did was way less than I'd anticipated (my previous vet was much pricier), and even their just general check up appt wasn't as much as I'd thought it be for the care we got. I had many visits to the office to pick up meds and the front staff were ALWAYS so pleasant. They're busy and getting my new client appt took a while, but for very good reason. They are a wonderful local addition to Hanahan and I truly believe that without the care of Dr. Spooner and Dr. Mokos we wouldn't have our senior cat with us still today.

Dr Mokos, Dr Spooner, and staff are superstars!!!! Have been taking our dog and cat there since they have been open. Our dog and cat have both had urgent needs (during hours) and they accommodated them in with priority. They treat our pets as if they were their own. They have literally saved our pets lives. We are forever grateful.
