The tellers are friendly each time we stop by to deposit our checks.

Not a good bank to go to.

To preface this review, please note that I don't believe that this applies to all PNC branches, as I had a good experience in the West Bend location. However, the bank branch manager at this location, Randy, may be one of the most unprofessional people with whom I have ever worked. I drafted a small estates affidavit (Transfer by Affidavit) so that one of his customers, an heir of a deceased person, could deposit 3 small checks totaling $1,800 from the decedent into her account. This procedure for small estates (less than $50,000) is a statutory procedure to assist heirs in saving time and money associated with probating an estate. The form was completed properly. My client with limited mobility went to the bank branch and presented the Affidavit and death certificate to deposit the checks, but was denied. In my follow-up call to the Bank, the manager, Randy, indicated that it was a "young" teller who refused to honor the form. Instead, Randy asked that my client set-up an appointment with a more seasoned bank representative by the name of Amita to assist in depositing the checks. In the interim, one of the 3 checks expired so a new check had to be reissued. My client established the appointment with Amita, per Randy's instructions. At that second appointment with Amita, she also refused to honor the document, telling my client that she had to open-up an estate account. When I tried to reach Randy to discuss the same and ask that PNC's Wisconsin legal counsel review the document, he is now refusing to return my calls and requests for information. Not only is this bank branch refusing to follow Wisconsin law, but forcing its customers to hire an attorney to either open up a probate or special administration in order to process a small estate. I want customers to be aware of this situation so that, if you are considering opening up an account at this bank, you may want to reconsider other options and deal with a Wisconsin lending institution. PNC is an out-of-state bank not familiar with Wisconsin law. Other clients of mine have had no issues with Associated Bank, for example, honoring the Transfer by Affidavit form. Associated Bank is a Wisconsin Bank.

Bad location. Too small. I preferred working with the Germantown location that had a larger office and easy to get to.
