First of all, this restaurant is in a beautiful spot surrounded by quaint shops, and the atmosphere is fantastic. The three stars are for some of the best wait staff I've been helped by, great appetizers (and some of the best French onion soup I've ever had), good dessert and very well-made drinks. Unfortunately, the entree I got was very strange and disappointing. The seafood scampi (which was mussels, shrimp, scallops and lobster on fettuccine) was smothered in a very odd, thick, starchy, salty substance which was not reminiscent of any scampi I've ever had. It was more like phlegm, had a very worrying smell and flavor (I was worried it was off), and was not enjoyable. Next time I will get a steak and hopefully that will make for a 5-star evening.

Wonderful experience! I'm from the area and have not been here in a long time. Our waiter Mike was fun and knowledgeable. Always had a smart quip about something going on at our table.

Beautiful quaint inn, lovely fireplace and warm friendly atmosphere. Historic Smithville is like taking a trip back in time .Festive Christmas cocktails offered and a tasty lunch was enjoyed.

We do not have outside dining at this time. Our sister restaurant, Fred and Ethel's Lantern Light does have outside dining. Dogs are allowed in the village, not inside the restaurants, unless they are service dogs. Thank you, Colleen
No idea, but I was there Feb 20 an the place looked liked it was packed. As a matter of fact, every place in South Jersey seems to do what they want, I have observed this behavior in several places.
