I have a 2017 Kia Sportage, since May of this year Kia Service has had my car a total of 8 weeks. Originally went in for a sensor to be replaced, after 2 weeks at Kia Service I tried to drive my car home after the repair and the timing on the car had been damaged. Took it back to Kia then was informed that it needed a new motor (block) Kia then had my car 5 weeks. I picked it up only again to have problems on my way home with the catalytic convertor they kept it another week. Fast forward a few weeks my car now has been at Kia Service for a week. The part was suppose to have been delivered within 3 days now it has been a week. Made several attempts to contact Cory the Service department Manager. He is always in a meeting or out of the dealership. I would not recommend Kia Service from my personal experience!!

I had a malfunction indicator lamp warning come up a few times on my one week old PHEV Sportage. It affected the drive and pickup when the light came on. I took it to service and the light was off when I brought it in go figure, and 30 minutes later the male service guy said the vehicle was fine and they couldn’t find anything wrong. In my opinion he either had no personality or didn’t care about the issues with the car, or both. On my drive home the light came back on, but I didn’t want to go back there. I scheduled with Kia of Greenville and went the next day. Of course the light turned off again when I brought it in, but they took it for a test drive and ran codes and found the issue of a “pending” code for a he transmission module. They removed the dash and it was a bolt and wiring harness that was damaged. I read online another guy having the identical issue and fix, so I’m assuming there will be a recall soon. I’ve had no issues since and happy they took the time to diagnose and fix the issue.

This isn't a question, but a comment for Buck Murray . . . My husband, Edward Segers, received a letter from you yesterday "wanting to buy our 2012 Kia Sedona". That vehicle met an untimely demise "totaled" in September 2019 on I-26 near the Newberry exit when we ended up in the median where we took out approx. 100 feet of the steel cable. Please remove his name from your mailing and phone call listing since we no longer have that vehicle. Thanks.

I believe Kia of Greer, Nissan of Greer, Hyundai and Toyota of Greer are owned by the same man. The brand is fine, but maybe a hungrier dealership would work more in your favor. They tried to push me toward a high interest loan (13%), made it like I had no options, I went to my credit Union and got less than 4% interest. Your experience may differ of course.
