My father had a hernia operation at this hospital. He woke up with a cut on his eye ball, black eye, and brusing on his ear. Yet no records in his discharge paperwork on what happened to or recommended treatment of the damage to his eye. The recovery nurse didn't want to wait for him to pee so she sent him home with a catheter, yet never put any mention of it in his medical records or discharge paperwork. To top that off the nurse used a catheter that was to large and he is currently bleeding, yet nothing can seem to be done about it till 4 days from now because the doctor had no records of him having a catheter and Monday is a holiday. Upon getting home after an extremely long day we found out that he was prescribed pain medication even though the nurse made no mention of this. So now I need to drive 1.5 hours to pick up prescribed pain meds. This is the worst experience with a operation and hospital I've ever had.

This is the worst Emergency room ever. I have had so many terrible experiences here that I wish I had the option of going to another emergency room when needed. The fact they sit me there on a bed in the hallway and walk by me like I'm not there. And I've had other unpleasant experiences.

Waited three months to be seen at the pain clinic, doctor was extremely condescending especially considering how completely useless he was. Offered one option which was something I’d already tried. On the phone I was told there were other options they could discuss with me available in Springfield but this guy knew nothing about them. Did not have my medical records from my primary doctor, didn’t seem to matter anyway. Complete waste of time. Below they apologize for bad experience but have made no effort to address it. Person I spoke to (I had to call them) dismissed my complaint and has gas lit me. No follow up, no answer to specific requests and documents I asked for. I continue to have bad experiences at this hospital, referals lost, scheduling not done.

Because people come to the hospital when they don't feel good and people are more likely to share negative thoughts than positive. It's a good hospital and if you need care beyond what Franklin can provide you'll be transported to Springfield. It's pretty awesome. Honestly, Franklin is the BEST Baystate hospital for care unless you need vet specialized care (but, like I said, then you get transferred to where you can get that care.)

Hi Theresa: Unfortunately, Baystate’s blood donor program is still temporarily closed. We can recommend that you reach out to Holyoke Hospital (for which they are booking out about 3 weeks) or the Red Cross in Springfield. Thank you.

24 hour response time when your admitted at least not sure about just going in for a test but I'm thinking maybe same time

Yes it leaves from Main entrance weekdays. I believe around 9am.
Its actually against hospital policy to wear any perfumes for that reason! I am a former employee and perfumes, scented lotions, and fake nails are against policy.
There is set hours posted online for it. It is run by people who volunteer so if there is no volunteer they do not open.
