I like the course but they really need to have a ranger. It is so slow out there because there a couple of groups that don’t understand gold etiquette or fast play. Today I walked off the course. After an hour I only played 3 holes and there were two groups on the 4th tee. A 5.5 - 6 hour round of golf is unacceptable

Aug 2022. I'm very disappointed how they let the place degrade. Only the green are good. The tees are covered in crab grass. I played Blue Fox Run a couple of weeks ago and it might have been in better shape. (That's not a compliment to either) I've played at Tunxis for many years. It was always groomed beautifully. It obviously they've cut back on maintenance. Very disappointing.
