Great Lake. So this must happen.. while we were on the lake in the sailboat, our captain spotted a gator in the water. We saw it also. He said out of the many years he has been sail boating there, he had not seen a gator in the water before. The gator heard the motor and ducked down as we got closer so I did not get a pic. Here is the thing, as we exited the boat, I looked around and did not see signage anywhere stating “ beware of alligators “ This needs to happen. The sail boat guy does not own the property but leases time or something but the Marina owners needs to alert folks mainly because as we were leaving folks were jet skiing in the lake. What if they fell into the water?? I hope this is seen by the marina folks. Though rare sightings, who knows when the next will be.
