Under any other circumstance I would find it on the inappropriate side to rate a civil servant who works toward the betterment of our community on google. But seeing as I knew Newington P.D. Had only 2 stars I think a couple things needed to be cleared up. Newington P.D. Has never done anything outside of being helpful, friendly, authoritative & respectful in the 20+ years I've resided here. But then there's tonight, at 12:30am I ran into Price Chopper with my purse in the car, 15 min later it was gone and the manager hung up on me when I called 5 min later to see if it had been turned in, I went directly to the p.d. Bc I had a necessary prescription that's practically irreplaceable. 2 min after arriving an officer came in & bc I provided my name at the desk, he had all my information. Not only did he take my situation seriously, after filling my report I returned to the scene to see if possibly it had been rifled through & discarded & the officer was already there (it's now 2am). Looking in trash receptacles, bushes etc. I just wanted to shout out Newington P.D. & officer P. Your diligence isn't overlooked & if you're an upstanding citizen you would rate the NPD 5 stars as well. So don't believe all you read; if you're a criminal & you get caught of course you blame/rate them. But that's just bc you don't take accountability & that's why you break the law, & why you got caught. Although my purse hasn't been found (it's only been an hour), that's doesn't matter, their just material things that are replaceable. Receiving respect & assistance at 2am is not something you find in many police officers, so Please, please, please thank your Newington Peace Officer & rate them higher than 2 stars people! They may save your life!!! Thank you again

Useless department, useless officers, all about covering up. I've been trying to get in contact with this "police department" for almost a full year regarding an IA case of officer misconduct. Not only have NONE of the officers involved not returned any phone calls, they've been rude and combative with me over the phone regarding this case. They've given me "voicemails" and even hung up on me when I've called to follow up on this issue. This department is corrupt and hiding information on this case. Return your phone calls. This is far from over, boys. I'm just getting started.
