This place is definitely worth it. They went above and beyond for us during our stay and we really appreciated the laid back atmosphere. Many extra amenities with no extra charge. Rooms were clean, spacious and tastefully decorated. A home away from home, would definitely recommend.

Looking forward to the next opportunity to stay here….and for much longer. A last minute need for an accommodation had us calling here where they’d just had a last minute cancellation for the weekend, lucky us! Quaint and well appointed establishment where it’s obvious that Gari and Matt care very deeply for your comfort and convenience. Our arrival to the lobby and our room reminded us of a House and Garden magazine cover. Our room was lit and cool after a long day on the road. There was a welcoming note and letter explaining the many features from activities, games and books as well as offerings of snacks and local places for food and drinks for day and night. The room was very clean, cozy and inviting. Quite possibly the fluffiest, comfortable bed we’ve ever slept in…. Like a dream. This establishment is a gem!

Three couples had planned a trip to Ocracoke, but all the ferries were canceled due to high winds. Turns out there was a really bad storm that took two beachfront homes away. Really sad...Anyway, we had to cancel our reservations, but still wanted to go somewhere for a couple of days. We scrambled and found this delightful place in Urbana!!! Oh my gosh!! What a wonderful experience that was! Gari and her housekeeping ladies made us feel so welcomed and genuinely happy to have us there. The rooms were spacious and immaculate. The beds were very comfortable, and the counter space and receptacles were plenty, which means a lot to me. There's even an apartment-size (or larger) refrigerator and microwave in each room. There were too many amenities to mention. Plus it didn't hurt one bit that Urbanna is a quaint, pleasant little town to visit. Everything was in walking distance. Thanks so much for a great time, Chesapeake House!! I will definitely go back again and again!

This place is incredible ! Exceeded my expectations. Such a cute unique place and really was blown away how nice staff was and how you just felt comfortable. Dog friendly and they even left a bed out for our pup! Thanks for the snacks too :)
