Didn't have very much to look at I would have liked to see Some slab bacon or Pork belly, Hammocks things like that. The breakfast sausage that we bought 6 pieces for 1199 they were very very good. The travel ketchup we bought for 8 nin 89 was pretty good too. Wish they had more things.

We stopped on our way to The Scotland Ferry going to Jamestown. We bought some pork chops and some sausage. Both were really great. This is wonderful family business selling outstanding local products. Next visit I will try one of the aged Virginia Hams!

This is an entirely new company with new owners and new merchandise. Meats of Virginia seems to be offering some of the designer meats--especially beef cuts--of steers that I have admired on the hoof but now can purchase, available packaged and ready to go. A new variety of sandwiches is also on hand made to order. Today I ordered a Pork Barbecue Sandwich: very high quality Virginia-style (tomato based) barbecue, VERY generous portion on a large bun (with a good cole slaw and jalapeño peppers if you wish). Delicious! Presliced and packaged and priced beef steaks, pork chops, all cut very thick--look like very high quality local meats intended for special occasion meals or high-end cookouts. The rest of the merchandise for sale much is akin to what was previously sold here; Virginia Diner Peanuts in a fairly wide variety, and bagged peanuts and English walnuts in the shell. Shelves not quite so packed yet, but everything looks good!

Last time I was there they were selling jars of watermelon rind pickles but I don't know if they were considered crispy.
