This ain't it bro, nope. I've been a member here ever since LA Fitness opened in Springfield 10+ years ago. What do I get for my tenure? Nothing. More specifically, I get major things taking months to be fixed. It's always something. The pool is down for months, the hot tub is down for months, the basketball court is currently down indefinitely and is ALWAYS down. Not to mention the last time I was at the court there, one of the doors into the court area was locked with a chain and padlock, so there was only one entrance/exit, why? Isn't that a hazard? What happened to all the appreciation events, complimentary stuff, leagues, etc.? THIS IS A JOKE bro. Only go here if you wanna get in, hit some machines and get out, but if that's the case we can go to PF for that and pay $10/mo. Sad, sad, sad. I got no issues with the staff, they're pleasant and seem to be doing the best they can. Manager is a good guy, but he can't save this place.

The gym has everything you need as far as amenities. The biggest issues I had were it’s always crowded, bathrooms are nasty, and there is serious lack of gym etiquette. It’s a bunch of adults and high school kids leaving weights everywhere.

They try to run a good gym, but it suffers from "tragedy of the commons." It gets very heavily used and shows it's wear. At the end of the day it's a budget gym that kind of pretends to be upscale, but very little is invested back into the property by the company. If you can afford a more exclusive gym you might be happier there. The rest of us poors will be here.

the classes don't offer swim instruction, but are water aerobics. they are free with membership and last about an hour. days and times can be found on the website.
Most people hit the gym at 6am.
