Came last night for a friends 21st birthday drinks, was very excited as she’s able to get her first drink at a bar and I’ve always loved Charlie O’s… now I’m embarrassed I bragged about how great a place it was. Bar tender, was out front smoking and finished up, saw us arrive and we stood out front smoking for a few minutes before entering for a drink. Get inside and she comes running up and says “I’m gonna stop you there, I saw you out front smoking a weed pen and I’m not going to serve you”. I can respect the law and the bar upholding it, but what I don’t respect is how absolutely rude and uncalled for the whole interaction was. She easily could have told us when she SAW US out front and we obviously wouldn’t have bothered even coming in. Seems like she just wanted a reason to turn us away with her reaction to the situation anyways. She claims she “didn’t know if we were coming in or not” after she watched us park our cars out front of the place. Literally nothing else was open on the street so do people normally pull up to Charlie O’s to have a smoke out front? Weird. Won’t be back.
