I had an online interview today. It was my first interview after my long career break and it wouldn’t be wrong to say I was nervous. I went to my local library because I have a hyperactive toddler who likes saying hi to anybody and everybody I am on the phone with or a zoom meetup. So I reached the library and asked for a room for 2 hours. There was this lady at the help desk and she took me to the room and wished me the best for my interview. In the middle of my interview, I looked up and saw her with a paper in her hands. The paper said, “You are really doing great!” ❤️ I cannot emphasize enough how much those words and her gesture meant. All my initial anxiety vanished and I felt I could conquer the world at that moment. I went out after my interview to thank her but she had left for the day. I made sure I told her colleague about her and told him to thank her for me. I will definitely go back and tell her how awesome she is and how her words motivated me ! It is surprising how little it takes to motivate someone. It can be a gesture, a word, a phrase or even a smile! #notallheroeswearcapes #motivation

Remodeled library with great librarians and friendly helpful security officer. It opens at 10am on Saturday. Not busy at all and plenty of computers and quiet nooks.

Yes you can
Yes! The branch offers a baby story time, waddler (between baby and toddler), and a toddler story time from 10:30-11 AM on different days (I can't remember which one is toddler, but baby is on monday and waddler is on tuesday) then the room is open for play time until noon. Unfortunately this past week was the last one of the session and now it's on break, BUT there is a stay and play open at the branch on Fridays from 10:30-Noon for all kids 4 and under until December 21st then the branch will be closed on the 24th for remodeling. Hope that helps!
If you have a library card you get 50 cents a day to make copies and print outs. Print outs are currently 10 for a single sided page and 20 cents for double sided.
