I love this store. Manager is very helpful and tuned into finding a solution for a problem. I have always found the Apple store to be very low pressure when looking for a product. They will always choose the most suitable product for your needs. Which may not be the most expensive one. In fact, I was offered a fix for my older iPad, which I did not know was possible, potentially saving me from buying a new one.

I don't think you can. It would be much easier if you ordered one online on Apple's website.
It sounds like there might be something under your N key that is preventing it from pressing properly. If you have an older Apple keyboard, you can gently pop the key itself off, though make sure you do not remove the butterfly switch that holds it in as well. With the key off, you may then clean the area under. There are some videos on YouTube that show you how to properly remove the keys. If you decide that is too much of a risk, I have found that rapidly pressing the "sticky" key dislodges the gunk under there, getting the key to work again for some time.

There are no Apple stores stock the iPhone 5 anymore. The oldest model that they stock is the iPhone 6s.
