Staff had little to no remorse for any of the patients. In fact they would constantly complain about their jobs to each other in front of us. “Group therapy” was just us sitting in a room for hours with no guided conversions or activities besides the occasional coloring. The one on one therapy involved a supposed “professional” telling me I had no reason to be depressed because my parents were still together and I had a good relationship with my sister. I was one of the lucky ones because I was placed here voluntarily so I was able to call my parents to get me out only after a week.

LPN starting at $28 hour? You can not be serious, I was just starting at $40hr plus $5 diff nights and $2 weekends at another facility. You do realize there is a Massive Nursing Shortage nationwide and record inflation and wages have increased significantly everywhere. This is the most insulting pay for a nurse I have seen and it is treating people with psychiatric issues which is higher risk and more stress for less money. Help me make sense of this poor management decision to pay so little and show such disrespect to your staff?

Not so long ago I was admitted to this place for an unexpected very bad experience. I have nothing bad to say about this place. From doctors to nurses to techs they all went the extra mile to make sure I was doing good and comfortable. Never did I felt mistreated. The staff is very friendly and awesome. The food is pretty good too I don’t understand the low ratings but talking by what I experienced and saw I would recommend this place without hesitation to anyone looking for behavioral treatment. I would end by saying this that I spend around 2 weeks and treatment felt pleasant and never forced. My deeply sincere thanks to all the staff at Southcoast behavioral health

We encourage positive and productive interactions with loved ones during treatment. Each unit has set visitation hours to accommodate these interactions. Patients also have access to phone and mail during their treatment stay. The staff will encourage each patient to have family or their identified support system part of their treatment.
