Overall I have nothing much to say about this place, that is the impression the food leaves. That being said, its nice enough to sit inside on a warm day when they have the windows open. It opens right onto Dot Ave so it can get a bit noisy though. Located on the main drag in south Dorchester/lower mills, it is surrounded by other small restaurants and is very close to both Dorchester park, Neponset Trail and Historic Chocolate factory which are nice to stroll around before or after. Servers were nice. The food was unremarkable. I got a chicken sandwich and it tasted pretty much like nothing. So I found it overpriced

My daughters and son took me here for Mother’s Day and while the food was OK, unfortunately the general manager, Paul, left a very bad taste in our mouth. He was rude and condescending to my daughter in front of other customers and staff because she called to update our reservation and his staff either did not update the reservation in the system or did not communicate this with him and he became flustered. Even if we were in fact late - which we were not - it gives him no excuse to treat a paying customer that way, particularly when there were tables available. Our server and hostess were pleasant, but we will not be back. There are plenty of other restaurants to patronize where the customer is appreciated.

The food was great! We got the tomato and mozzarella pizza and the fried chicken sandwich, and they were both excellent. Super recommended! They have a large selection of beer and whiskey as well, which was amazing

We've ordered a ton of take out from Lower Mils Tavern over the last year and the food is just as good as if I'm there, sitting at one of their large open windows tables. Chef Cara Nance takes such pride in changing up the menu often, leaving you excited about trying something new (like this photo, it was some sort of plum pudding made fresh!). I highly recommend the new truffled artichoke dip, Chicken Sandwich (trust me it's perfectly crispy) or stop in for an amazing brunch! I suggest following them on Instagram to see all of their mouth watering photos, as well as keeping up to date on their live music schedule.
