Made reservations for 5 pm on Sunday evening. We were told they were closing early (7pm) for vacation. Call came at 4:20 pm Sunday cancelling our reservation. Very disappointed!! Thought this was a better restaurant that we have enjoyed over the years. This was classless. To follow up; spoke with Kim and explained why we were so upset. She apologized and sent us a generous gift card. We couldn't spend our anniversary at Blackinton but we will certainly enjoy another visit here. Thank you again.

The entire place is historic and beautiful! Fantastic serving staff - detail oriented and excellent experience and coordination by the kitchen - I have the highest accolades for Leandra - a phenomenal professional who quite literally, handled a party of over 16 demanding people in an eloquent and courteous manner - never losing her cool - not once!!! I enjoyed the fried goat cheese on spinach salad with the filet as the main and carrot cake for dessert. I ordered medium plus and it was literally cooked to perfection. Each meal course was delicious! I am so impressed with the entire experience and will return again!

Been here a few times over the years and this was first time disappointed. So-so service. Wife had swordfish she just did not eat as it was so dried out. Mine was cooked but luke warm and dried out. Think they had a service problem as meals seem as though they were cooked and sat before bringing out. Definitely a bad night here.

We recently had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Colonel Blackinton Inn and had an amazing experience. Kim Canova, the owner, was so accommodating and amazing at decorating and bringing my decor inspiration to life! We had our ceremony indoors in the brick-paved sunroom in the Jenkins House (there is an option for an outdoor tent). We took our after ceremony pictures outdoors at the Inn which provided beautiful background scenery for photos. We were able to get exactly what we wanted in decor, delicious food, customized menus made by Blackinton, a Prosecco bar, chocolate covered strawberries, an open bar, and a private area of the Inn (with a bathroom) all to ourselves. Customer service was amazing. I can't say enough good things about Kim and her team. I highly recommend having your wedding here.

Yes, on the website. Or you can call the restaurant. Also any remaining balance can go towards gratuity.
Yes and yes, there's a private dining room that can be rented for 12-20 people. And a carriage house - up to 50 people.
Call and ask, David!
You can order and pick up a Thanksgiving dinner from them.
Upscale casual
The brunch is very good. Oftentimes they have live music outside as background (two older gents).
You may bring your own wine as long as it’s not an item we are currently carrying & the corking fee is $10/bottle
The Colonel Blackinton Inn is closed on thanksgiving day. They do have a catering menu for thanksgiving with full meals available as well as a la carte items. The menu is on the website and Facebook.
