I showed up at 7minutes of 10pm. Employee at the door said they were closed. There were customers exiting past me, and I could still see customers shopping in the store. Employee told me they close doors every night 10 minutes early. I explained to I needed 2 things, and I knew exactly where they were. Employee still insisted I could not enter store. I asked him to get a manager. He left, but did not return with the manager. Employee stated the manager said it doesn’t matter that it’s not 10pm (WHICH BY THE WAY IS THE POSTED TIME FOR BUSINESS HOURS OF OPERATION!), and that I only had 2 things to pick up, and that I knew exactly where they were located in the store. Employee stated the manager’s name was Paula! I work in Massachusetts, and haven’t eaten all day! I’m trying to eat healthy, and not do McDonalds or Burger King. Looks like I’m going to have to do the fast food thing after all! By the way, I know MANY family members and many friends that have complained about Stop and Shop doing this to them!! I work for large RI / Ma based retail company. The owners of the company would NEVER do this to their customers. The hours posted on your front doors should read open until 9:50! NOT 10pm!!!!
