Amazing food, great atmosphere. The Chef is fantastic and I recommend many people to this place.

We came for the first time tonight, drawn by friends recommendation and a look at the menu. We came early before theater time, sat outside on the spacious patio and the ambiance was wonderful. We had a couple of small plates, plums and Camembert, which were delicious. For the main course we had the Crispy Duck Cavatelli Carbonara and that was unfortunately a disappointment. The word “crispy” was totally misplaced. There was nothing crispy about that duck! It was more like a Duck Ragout, but for a ragout there wasn’t enough sauce. Not that the dish was bad, just not what we expected from the name. The pasta was very al dente, which didn’t help either. The bread pudding for dessert was very good again, so we will probably be back to try some other dishes from the menu.

Docs is a lovely environment with amazing food. I truly feel bad for the staff in the kitchen. The head chef (Matt) is extremely rude and belittle’s his staff. Staff workers work over 10 hrs a day and receive no breaks. Staff have been lied to and over looked when asked about meal breaks. This restaurant needs to treat its staff with more dignity and respect.

The food here is top notch. The flavors are abundant and complex. The ribeye steak was tasty with a fantastic bernaise sauce and savory, meaty mushrooms. But for $51 for maybe 8oz, they coldl could have sourced a better quality piece of meat. There was no marbling, and it was a bit tough. The appetizers were excellent. The halibut was cooked to perfection tasted amazing. Now we have to talk about the carrot cake. Two words. Life changing. AbsoluteLy the best carrot cake you've ever had. Dense, buttery. Mmmm! Wow. Really my only problem with the place is the price. At $300 with tip for 3 people, I don't think the value is quite there. They do a good job, and the ambiance is good, just not up to that price point imo. And the service is on the same boat. It's good. Attentive and friendly enough, but the server always seemed hurried. I don't think that aspect of the experience quite measured up to the price point either. I'd definiteLy go back for the carrot cake though omfg.

No. The theatre is on the main level. To get to Doc's you either go down a beautiful grand staircase or use a glass elevator.
