Currently, you do need to be registered witht the Vermont Marijuana Registry and have an active ID card in order to purchas medical cannabis from a dispensary in Vermont. Adult-use (regreactional) cannabis sales are set to begin October of 2022.

There are no "recreational" dispensaries, only medicinal. There are currently 4 locations: Brandon, Brattleboro, Burlington, and Montpelier.
