The cabins are nice enough but the owner is a pill. Make sure you only go 5 mph or he will be out there ready to tussle. He's over the top. His wife is nice and the cottages are well maintained but it's not worth the $.

perfect place for a getaway, even a girls trip for cedar point. was asked politely to back the car up by the manager (the one all of the reviews mentioned) but it was no problem at all. the pool wasn’t packed at all and remodeled cottage was great. no bed bugs or crackheads so it’s 5 stars in my book 😆 the inside of the cottage could be a little cleaner though (floor).

Here’s the thing, if you are thin skinned and can’t read, don’t stay here. They clearly post the rules and yes I missed some signs and met the guy everyone is talking about but he wasn’t rude or loud or angry. He was pointing out what we clearly missed and it’s all in the name of keeping things orderly. Space is limited in these areas and most places are way more expensive. It’s not a 5 star hotel and I didn’t pay for that so I don’t expect it to be perfect. It was worth every penny and I do agree 100% the lady in the office is as nice as can be. If you are coming to Port Clinton for a fishing trip don’t believe the naysayers in the reviews, just follow the clearly posted rules and respect their property and other guests and you will be fine. Plus it has a fish cleaning station on site which was very helpful following a great morning of catching Walleye.

We spent 4 days enjoying the lake. Our cottage was so clean and had just about everything we needed. The bed was comfortable, the linens and towels were clean, if a little worn. The grounds and pool were well tended and the staff was helpful and friendly. We are planning to come back next year with our grandsons.
