The Dock Food and Spirits

We drove 30 minutes to The Dock because we had heard such great things. This was the exact opposite of what we had experienced. We walked in and could tell they were busy. Prom was happening as well. The host greeted us and said there would be a wait because some customers had call ahead seating. We understood, but sat there for 45 mins to 1 hour while they sat everyone but us. Meanwhile, they told others that called in it would be 15-20 minutes. They continued to ignore us standing there. The bartender said she was not serving drinks because they were short staffed and had to host. We decided to just go sit in the area by the bar as we continued to wait. No one checked on us or anything. We decided to walk out because the service was awful. I understand being short staffed, but the bartender and host (wasn’t even an employee and said she was just helping them out) were very rude to everyone. I overheard the bartender say, “I tried to sit these customers and since they didn’t like the table we gave them, they can wait.” I was appalled and disgusted that she was talking about other customers that way. It would be in their best interest to find new staffing and fast. We will not be back ever again and subjected to the disrespect that we faced that day.

FAST and Attentive Service. Live music that was actually good! Food was so good. Craved the fried onion from our last time there a month ago or so. Highly recommended!

The service was very good our waitress Julie was on top of it. However I thought for the price of the meal that the portion could have been a little larger and it could have been served on a plate that was representative of the price being paid. But make no mistake the food was very very good.
