Charming fun little beach community.

What a cute little town. We spent 4th of July in Bontia Springs this year. Covid made it difficult to celebrate with family, but the City of Bontia Springs put on a firework show that you watched from your car. My children really enjoyed it and as a mother of 5, I felt safe from the virus. Glad the city was able to pull through this pandemic. We will definitely be back!

Event director and administration has no care towards 'lower' residents. Event Director does not try to reach these folks but says they try. City Mayor has tried to make it work but has mostly given up. Most directors have become dictators and lower employees are yes sirs it seems. And talking to several employees you'll easily get falsely written up for voicing any concerns or even worse fired. What a joke city hall has become, very sad. Clean house and figure out whats wrong!

I believe the City has made that part of the redevelopment. Once the library is finished and the new plaza is in, the landscaping will take place. No use spending taxpayer's dollars only to have it torn up by construction crews. For those of us who remember what it looked like 10 years ago, it already looks 100% better! Be patient, our town is in great hands with the City Staff. No, I don't work there :)
