The settlement area is cool and interesting to tour. Great place to kayak. Camping is another story. Most of the sites are horrible and poorly maintained. Mostly all sand. Found a spot where they have a huge pile of rocks for the sites and it’s just sitting there. I’ve been to many state parks in the state of Florida and they are all rock covered. Got a few rainstorms and the only thing happened to mostly every site , they went underwater and then they were a mud pad. It appears they allow homeless people to camp also which makes it very undesirable because they are not here to enjoy the camping and environment, they are just here to use it and treat it like a dump.. I complained to the staff and all they did was move them to a campsite closer to me. How unprofessional. The bathhouse is very old and outdated. The grout looks like it’s got embedded mold and some of the tile is falling off the walls in some of the showers. Either this is management not addressing it or it’s the state not taking care of it. This could be a super park if it was better maintained at the campsites. And when obviously somebody is here just to live and not enjoy it there should be rules in place. It’s not discrimination it’s fairness. And notice, the small silver clamp on the site post. We all have an exit date, and they do not have one. I have been here 12 days. The family (a lady) at the site said she has been here for about 21 days. Guess the rules only apply to certain campers. I called the office and he said you cannot stay here more than 14 days. Here is a copy of the rule I found on the State Park website. 14 nights Length of Stay - Campgrounds During periods of high demand, the maximum length of a camping or cabin stay is 14 nights. After 14 nights, the camper must leave the park for at least three nights before returning for a new stay.

Stayed at site 4. Good privacy between sites, which is what we've come to expect at Florida state parks. Great kayaking today. We went right at boat dock at 11:30am so we could return with the tide. The most scenic path is after you go under bridge & a kayak rental is on the left. Keep going & the road noise will die down to silence.

There are 60 campsites available all w / elec water pic table and fire ring. 12 campsites are tent camp only and next to the Estero River. And 4 paved ADA camp sites available as well. It's $26 plus tax a night including a non refundable $6.70 reservations fee as well as $7 a night utility fee for RV cabin bungalow boat and yurt units. Utility Fee includes elec water and sewer. Fee does not apply to tent campsites. Hope that helps...

Yes, I suggest that you call to confirm your reservation.
Check-in is 3pm and check-out is 1pm
There are not. There are paved roads that cyclists share with other vehicles.
Yes, if on 6-foot leash:-)
Florida residents that are 65 years or older that register online receive a 50% discount on camping fees. There is a onetime fixed registration fee, and state and local taxes are applied. This is true for all Florida State parks
They have some fall photo ops and I believe they are going to have a family haunted trail
Yes, we just camped there this weekend. Their website shows what amenities are currently available.
They have both tent and RV sites. Your 19 footer would be fine.
Yes my husband, we bring our golf cart
I'm not sure, summer hours in effect. I would call their main number and leave message. A wedding at a former Cult location. Interesting choice.
I'm not sure but I think the park is open year round and that there are daily tours. I was there on a Saturday in February & there were tours and also people at each of the buildings to give you historical background.
Don't know. Call the ranger station. Someone is there from 8 till sundown
There is a 14 day maximum stay in Koreshan State Park. The current rate (as of 3/13/19) is 28.99/night. All tent sites have electric and water hookups, picnic table and fire ring.

None now, last one died in the 60's.
Call.
Share with autos, but you can walk the entire park in 20 minutes, so for serious biker would not recommend as nearest open road is Tamiami Trail too much traffic.
I kayaked the entire river - fresh side and salt side, never saw a gator. Definitely no gators in the campgroind area. Saw a lot of rabbits in the campground.
Yes we rv'd there... They have water, electric, and a waste dump. We like the spacious campsites. Especially enjoyed the historical aspect.
Yes the tent camping is in a cozy shade forest of tropical trees and the sites are spacious. The bathrooms are numerous with electricity and hot water. Great showers also.
Yes, as long as they are behaved and on a six foot hand held leash at all times.
