I’ve been for quite a few runs here. It’s very well maintained. The only issues that you may have is that the pavilion, grill and playground are almost always full of ppl, and the actual boardwalk/paths may have that stagnant water smell in warmer weather. But other than that, this place is great!

I noticed water bottles scattered randomly over the weekend as I walked. Yeah people need to do better to keep this area nice.

The boardwalk is open 24 hours. The park parking isn't.

Most likely not, however, I got there (not the park entrance) before sunrise and the gates were open.
I have yet to find the gates closed. It's a nice walk in the very early morning at sunrise.
Great question! I have an answer for you. My name is Anton, and I'm on the board of directors at Rippon Landing Masters Association. I recently went to a local meeting for Prince William Administration, held at Occoquan Marina. It was announced, that the construction of the boardwalk shall be completed during current winter season. However, the actual opening of the boardwalk is delayed until spring, sometime between April and May. Check newwoodbridge.org for details and updates, as the opening date approaches.
