Front desk is rude and unprofessional keep hanging up on me when I'm trying to get information.

Useless... You apply for help to be put on a waiting list for 3 years. Terrible customer service, The woman i spoke to had an attitude and no information. Why even pay people to answer phones when they can not be of any assistance? It's sad but if you need help in about three years this program is for you.

Horrible service and very unethical practices. Would give "0" stars if I could.

Depends on your income and if there is a waiting list.
Took my friend 3 years but for what I understand the rules are being enforced and people are getting evicted more so it is moving faster. Just keep checking every few months,my friend moved 129 spots just from November to December. Its well worth the wait tho
It's still going to take a while. It depends on how many people move out, get evicted Etc
Thank u!! I called today i was told im number 41 i hope thats a good thing

Yes you can transfer. You just got to call the Housing Authority in Fl where you plan on going and make sure they have funds to do so. You can move your voucher anywhere its being accepted. Anywhere in the U.S.
You have to apply for housing at the housing authority. Be aware that it could take 2 years to get a place. I have been on the list for a year and 3 months so far. Get your name in as soon as possible.
Have u tried calling 211 for other resources as well??
Its a 2yr waiting list. In order to find out where you are on the list you have to call in & pray you get someone who wants to do their job. I'll be honest wit you this not something you want to do. They don't care bout the tenets & every place is invested wit roaches
Yes but it's not that long . If ur working at least 30 hrs a week or on disability u become a priority I was told..it's worth the wait since section 8 is closed housing is open
The place is a joke, I 60 and haven't had a roof over my head for 7 months. I just called after 3 months and I'm told that my info hasn't been entered into the computer... Seriously!!!! This Is what I get for working hard my whole life... Nothing!!!! No help. It's diqusting!!!!
Call the office someone there can help you with your answer 772-461-7281@Yvonne Kimbrough
You can. You just have to apply. Be aware that the waiting list is long, so you may have to explore other avenues until they make a determination.

Catherine let me take care of this I have experience to answer Stefani Royale the odds are they usually don't based on my experience something else I noticed if any Housing Authority is absorbing people that means they're losing people and that's a bad sign I've had people tell me you don't want to move here white boy you see this line here we're all getting the hell out of here or it's called porting out. This particular Housing Authority I don't know I'm going to assume that they're billing you can try emailing them yeah right you can try calling them let me not fall off my chair laughing the best bet is to go in person or have somebody do it on your behalf. Also your caseworker should be able to find out for you if that agency is absorbing or billing.
If you received a letter from Housing it usually tells you what you need to do. As for section 8 will do the same and section 8 is the one that allows you to find your own spot not Housing. It's 2 different things
Call them
