I absolutely HATE the postal service in Hawthorne. Theirs no consistency to package delivery, sometimes they’ll hold them at the post office, unless it’s a set of flat screen TV’s, then they’ll leave that on my porch. Latest screw up, I was expecting a package that couldn’t fit in the mailbox, so they leave an unmarked key in my box that doesn’t fit any of the larger parcel boxes. The post office hours are completely inconvenient for anyone who works in Gainesville, they’re closed in the morning before I go to work and closed by the time I come home. Last time I had to pick up a package from the post office, I had to wait almost three weeks to catch them during business hours. I’m done with this place, I’m getting everything delivered to my job from now on

DON'T WORK FOR THIS OFFICE. If you expect a paycheck for the work you do, then don't work for this office. Google search "USPS not paying their employees," and you will see this is a severe problem and it's not an accident. Not paying employees is how the post office saves money. I worked for this office for less than two months before I resigned, and they owe me over $400 in mileage I put on my vehicle while on duty. The Postmaster told me they owe another employee over $5,000 as if that made it better. If you like fighting for money owed to you or working for free, then great, but if not, find somewhere else to work.

If it's a PO box just come in and purchase another key. If it's a mailbox on the street you are responsible for all the keys and you can get a copy at a local hardware store. If you have lost all of the keys for a street box you must pay a fee to change the lock
First it's unclear are you talking about a post office box or a residential box?? Best bet call your local post office.
They have the lowest prices and you can get your mail 24 hour
It will charge you $1 and it's been known to have hiccups. Its seems to work better if you just come in and get one and mail it off 🙂
