Kaiti Lenhart and her staff have done a fantastic job throughout the 2020 election season. Excellent information made available in a clear, understandable, concise manner. Totally professional when dealing with the public. Really happy to have such a well-run elections department, this year in particular.

I voted for a candidate who backed out of race, can I get another mailin ballot

Ken Clark | Sep 15, 2020
Supervisor of Elections Office | Sep 15, 2020

Mr. Clark, If you have already cast your ballot for this election, you are not eligible to receive a replacement ballot.

I mailed my vbm ballot on Friday. Was that enough time for it to arrive by Tuesday?

Supervisor of Elections Office | Sep 16, 2018

Voted mail ballots must be received by 7:00 P.M. on Election Day. First class delivery times are anywhere between 3 - 5 business days. We recommend mailing a voted ballot no later than Thursday before Election Day. If you are able, please drop off the ballot in the Elections Office. We have a secure drop box in the window near the front door for use after-hours or on weekends. This information is available here: https://www.flaglerelections.com/Vote-By-Mail-Absentee

is it right for the poll worker at the door of the polling place to be going over the ballots with someone? if not you need to talk to the one at the library about his duties.

Jim Greene | Sep 16, 2018
Supervisor of Elections Office | Sep 16, 2018

Yes, poll workers are trained to help voters and answer questions. They take an oath to remain nonpartisan and to perform their duties without favor or prejudice to any political party and in accordance with Florida law. The poll deputy is stationed at the door of the polling place and is not a member of the Election Board, and therefore is not permitted to touch official ballots. The poll deputy you have described working today at the library has a sample ballot in hand to distribute, if requested.
