Going out onto the rocks is potentially dangerous. They're slippery and a foot/leg or hand/arm could easily get caught and hurt or broken. Every "biodegradable" anything I've encountered has always had bits that weren't.

It depends on the size and type of your pet and of course how well it can swim. Pet sharks do very well here as they can swim in and out of the inlet easily.. dogs however are oftentimes eaten by other animals in the inlet like sharks. It's fairly well known that this inlet is not at all friendly to feline pets such as cats and Badgers. So bring your pets at your own discretion but beware that any and all of them may be eaten at any given time in this inlet.
