Definitely more of a Japanese fusion restaurant. Their appetizers and cooked dishes were pretty good, rolls were decent, but not worth the price point in my opinion. The rolls were catered more for an American palate with lots of mayo or cream cheese components. Service was friendly and there wasn't a wait for a table on a weekday for dinner when we sat outside. Food came out in a timely manner.

A great local sushi spot in Baldwin Park. We like sitting outside, as we bring our dog. There’s a a sushi bar counter, a regular bar counter or tables inside. They have a nice selection of sashimi, nigiri & sushi selections in addition to many other items.

When do you not accept walk-ins for inside dining...at a table....not the bar?

When a restaurant is fully booked up, they will have seats that are empty. This is because they are waiting on those people who made a reservation to arrive at the time they specified. No one is judging you. This is how reservations work. There are restaurants that are fully booked for months in advance, not a single walk in can be sat. Is that judgemental? No, supply and demand are working towards balance. If a hostess tells you that they are booked, it's because they are booked, if they didn't take as many customers as possible they wouldn't be making as much money as possible. It's simple economics. They didn't have a seat for you, I suggest you make a reservation if you intend on dining in a popular restaurant at peak times.
